This tragic GL romance centers on Seren, who signs a one-year contract with cold tycoon Kael Voss to earn money for her mother’s heart surgery, treated as a cheap substitute for Kael’s beloved Elowen. Elowen manipulates Kael cruelly, freezing Seren’s medical funds and snatching life-saving ambulance resources, leading to Seren’s mother’s death. Devastated, Seren returns all blood-stained money and vanishes, suffering irreversible organ damage from selling blood and testing illegal drugs. Three years later, remorseful Kael liquidates her fortune and tracks down terminally ill Seren by the sea.
